War has began. As bombs exploded in each houses some people did not survive.  As I went outside and walked to see my dad I saw houses and vehicles damaged by bombs, grenades and rocket launchers. My dad came up to me and told me, “Peter you must take your brothers far far away from our home. Make sure they are safe.” “Why dad?” I asked.  “I promised you that I will never leave. I’m sorry but this is the time that you will have to leave. Just promise that you will keep our treasure safe.  Just pack your things and go”, he said. “OK Dad I guess I have to tell my brothers. As I walked back to our house it was destroyed. But luckily my brothers survived. I quickly said “guys are you alright?” “Yes Peter we are, what happend to our house” they said? “A bomb came and struck down our house,” I told them.  “Dad is he ok, hes fine  but dad told me we have to walk far far away from our home, but we are not going until dad is coming with us.”

As I walk with my dad, I look back and see houses destroyed by bombs. I hear glass shattering and people shouting out for help. A bleeding mother holding her baby. Black smoke surrounding the sky like clouds. As the war began I was scared. I see tanks damaging vehicles, fire burning from houses and gunshots. I also see helicopters blasting rocket launchers from the sky.

KABOOM!!!!! A bomb has aimed for my house I quickly run and take my mothers cross to protect me. My mother gave this cross years before she died. It is a very special cross. When she gave me that cross she told me that she is always there to protect me.

I quickly get out of the house with my dad and run to my aunt’s house. As I run, my dad takes his old shovel with him. I am very confused. My aunt’s house is miles away, instead my dad goes in a different direction. I am still confused about where he is going and why he took his old shovel. I follow him. He stops at an old house. He goes up to an old lonely tree where there is a  X. He takes his old shovel and digs up an old treasure. This old house was my mother’s house…
